Canon 60D - My First 60D Burned My Hand and Died Within Hours of Unboxing

I really like my Canon 60D, but it has a little secret. My 60D is my 2nd Canon 60D. The first 60D I bought burned my hand and died within hours of unboxing. Click play on the video above to find out what happened...

Your story is a good example of why products have warranties. Canon may or may not have QC issues but no matter how good a company is, there are occasionally going to be problems.

We don't know what may have happened to your camera before it got to your hands. The delivery service that took it to the store could have dropped it off the back of a truck going down the highway. If it was packed together with other cameras in the enclosing box, the product box may not show obvious damage.

Not trying to defend Canon, just saying that there could be any number of reasons that your body died and many of them wouldn't have been Canon's fault. Glad your replacement body is working out.
