Nikon D7000 vs Canon 7D - Which One Should I Buy?

One of our viewers left a comment asking which DSLR he should buy... the Nikon D7000 or the Canon 7D. Here's a run-down of the two to help you decide. Hint, hint... the Nikon D7000 and the Canon 7D are closer than you might think.

I am an enthusiast-semi-pro photographer and have been studying various reviews of the Nikon d7000 and Canon 7d as I am one of those camera buyers trying to decide which one to get. This review is very helpful and I appreciate it. However, one item mentioned by Matt is that both cameras have metal bodies. It is my understanding that this is true of the Canon 7d but that the Nikon d7000 has only a partial metal body. The conclusion some reviewers have made is that the Canon 7d is therefore more durable and better for professional photographers. Have the two cameras been compared anywhere for build quality? Can you expand a bit on this topic Matt? Thanks. I enjoy your postings. Frank
