Happened across a quicky preview/review of the SB-700 on Strobist and he highlighted one element that means the 700 does not replace the 800 on - PC Sync port.
It has none!

Of course for all us strobist using non-hotshoe radio triggers (I've just bought a set of skyports) can get a 3.5mm/miniphone to hotshoe adapter rather than our 3.5mm-to-PC sync, but they are fair bit more expensive.

Thought worth nothing.
