Just got the Olympus M.Zuiko ED 12-40mm f2.8 PRO in a couple of days ago here at Art of the Image, and it was sitting on the Panasonic GX7 when the girls came down from getting ready for school.
Luckily, Mummy is off work today, so their hair was nicely done! Seizing the moment, I grabbed the GX7 + 12-40mm and did some quick window light shots.
Ella loves to pose for the camera.
No coercion required. :-)
Auto focus is fast and silent with the Oly 12-40 on the GX7, just the way I like it.
And, since the GX7 has built-in image stabilization, there is no concern with shooting the Oly on the GX7 in that regard.
The build quality of the Olympus 12-40mm is simply beautiful. I wish Nikon and Canon built their pro zooms to this level of quality finish.
And despite the fact that this lens is a constant f2.8 pro grade zoom, it's surprisingly small and lightweight. I'm loving the M4/3 system more and more every day. :-)
I painted in some additional exposure to the eyes in the above shot using the exposure brush in Lightroom in the above shot (perhaps too much).
Stay tuned for more on the Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 pro zoom!
