Best NEW Camera of 2013??? Canon 70D Nikon D7100 Olympus E M1 Panasonic GX7 Sony a7 a7R
With 2013 done and gone, the internet has been talking about what was the Best NEW Camera of 2013.
We've got quite a few contenders, but I'll narrow them down to the Canon 70D, Nikon D7100, Olympus E-M1, Panasonic GX7, Sony a7, and the Sony a7r.
So what do you think was the best new camera of 2013?
Click on the video above for my take on it.

Hi Matt.
Well, first let me say that I enjoy your thoughts on the new systems! Secondly, I believe that this question is totally subjective and has no "true" answer, being that it is the opinion of each photographer, which is "Best" for their own specific needs. That said, my vote goes to the Sony a7R for several reasons: The first mirrorless and small, weather-sealed FF system with no AA filter at 36 megapixels. This means the best image quality in terms of sharpness and detail, in a small package system. Granted, it's no sports or Action camera, but for us landscape/nature/product shooters, it's a winner! Plus, Popular Photography also awarded it "Camera of the Year" for 2013. I look forward to reading test reviews with it and the new Zeiss FE lenses, which obviously are also state-of-the-art!
