Nikon D800 or Nikon D7000 for Filming? (Viewer Question)

  1. Quick question - I have been reading up on the D7000 and it would seem that not many programs will allow you to run and convert the raw files to tiff. I don't have current photoshop, but use nikon capture NX to do my raw conversions with my d200. I'm considering the d7000 but I'm now a bit put off as I only shoot raw files and don't really want too much more expense by upgrading photoshop etc. Does the camera come with a software that would allow simple conversions? If you have any info on this please let me know. Thank you.

  3. @beresfordphoto - Yes, the Nikon D7000 comes with the latest version of NikonViewNX, and it will allow you to RAW conversions. Like all the Nikon software, it's a little slow and clunky, but it's conversion quality is top notch.
